Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791)    He was born in Salzburg, Austria. His musical ability was evident when he was composing at the age of 5 and by age 17 was employed as the court musician in the Salzburg music hall.  During his life he wrote over 600 musical works, including symphonies, concertante, chamber music, piano pieces, operas and choral music.  He is reputed to be the most enduringly popular of all classical composers.  He spent his adult life in Vienna where he married and the couple had six children.  His most famous works were piano concertos and symphonies.  His most popular symphonies were "The Marriage of Figaro," and the "Overture to Don Giovanni."
