Teach your students grammar and help them develop writing skills that will last a lifetime. Our guided approach helps you use the writing process to model different types of writing. This program also provides instruction in study, listening, and speaking skills.

This Teacher's Edition provides easy instructions to teach grammar for understanding and to guide in the teaching of writing. Students will learn to plan, draft, revise, proofread, and publish all types of writing: instructions, letter, book report, persuasive essay, research report, and more. Rubrics are provided to help evaluate each type of writing.

This program contains 160 lessons that are divided into 16 chapters. Each chapter consists of 10 lessons (for approximately 2 weeks). Grammar chapters and writing chapters alternate. The grammar lessons provide easy instructions on how to teach grammar for understanding. The writing lessons explain how to teach writing using the Writing Process. A rubric is provided for grading each writing project.

The Teacher's Edition also includes many optional activities to aid the teacher in teaching and reviewing English skills (e.g., bulletin board ideas, learning center ideas, and activities for an English word wall). A few writing prompts are provided as an alternative to tests over some of the writing chapters.

The Teacher's Toolkit CD (located in the back of the manual), contains reproducible pages to supplement the lessons. These Extra Practice pages may be used to practice or review grammar lessons.

Format - Spiral bound, softcover, 368 pages.

ISBN - 9781579248314
