Typical of other Horizons math courses, the activities section of each lesson includes a set of practice problems for the new concept and review problems for previously covered concepts.
 
Another new feature of the Student Book is a set of college test prep questions that follows each block of 10 lessons. These problems are designed to help students prepare for standardized math testing. This book also includes a new collection of interviews with everyday people who use math in their daily vocations.
